“In June, I joined Luna to see if it was something I could do. Badly out of shape and with my health going the wrong direction, I knew I needed to change some things in my life. Jason, a co-worker, said he was a member of Luna and that I should try it. I told him there was no way I could do CrossFit. Now, almost 1 year later, I have lost close to 30 lbs, replaced fat with muscle, and feel better than I have in years. For the first 4 months I just worked out, and didn’t change my diet significantly. I lost between 15-20 lbs during that time. Then in October of 2018, during a health fair type day at CrossFit Luna, Coach Amber did an InBody Body Composition Analysis. Later, she headed up a nutrition challenge that really changed how I eat. The meal plan I received as part of this challenge was an eye opener. I was surprised that I could eat a lot more food when I ate the right foods. I don’t even consider it a diet. I eat way more now than I did before. Since that first body scan, I have lost an additional 10 lbs and added more muscle mass and decreased my Percent Body Fat to 15.2%.”
