Do “resolutions” not seem to work for you? You’re not alone! Often our resolutions fail because we haven’t set ourselves up for success. Here are some helpful tips for a better 2021.
-There is no time like the present. If you want to make a change, start small and start now.
-Make sure goals are S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-limited.)
-Time block your values. We all have schedules. But for most it’s backward. We schedule obligations and work, and fit in values after. By values we mean identity what’s important to you as a person and who you want to be. Schedule that first daily. Then Work.
-Keep goals positive instead of negative. “I will eat healthy meals 5 days a week’ rather than “I will lose 5 lbs.”
Remember, it can take 90 days to make a lifestyle change. Don’t give up! Be nice to yourself- just because you’re not there now, doesn’t mean you won’t get there. You’re allowed to be a work in progress as long as you’re putting the effort of making said progress.
